Jiu-jitsu private & semi-private classes for kids · Montreal & Laval

3x champion at IBJJF Pan Kids, the biggest kids jiu-jitsu tournament there is.

I'm Jayden. I train and compete across jiu-jitsu, judo and wrestling, and I coach kids one on one or semi-private with a partner. Your kid gets a game built around them. Montreal and Laval, Quebec, Canada.

If you're trying to help your kid improve, or get them ready for their next competition, I'd love to help.

Why privates

Built around your kid

In a group class your kid gets a few minutes of a coach's attention. In a private they get the whole hour. We start from where they actually are: what they're already good at, and where they keep getting stuck. Then we build from there.

Prepare for the next event

Game plans, what to do when a match isn't going their way, how the scoring actually works, and how to stay calm between matches. The same preparation I use for my own competitions.

What a session looks like

We can review footage of their recent rolls or competition, build a game plan for a specific event, or just start from the fundamentals and go from there. Whatever your kid actually needs.

Then we prioritize the most important concepts to work on, or anything specific you'd like, and drill them until they're automatic. Then we pressure test them live.

You leave knowing exactly what your kid is working on. If their regular coach wants the notes, I'll send them.

I'm not replacing anyone's coach. Most kids I work with train somewhere else and go right back.

Questions parents ask

How old do students need to be?+

5 and up.

My kid trains at another gym. Is that a problem?+

Not at all. I'm not recruiting anyone. Most of my students train elsewhere and go back to their own coach.

Do you coach girls?+

Yes. My sister Mila competes, and I've cornered her plenty.

Can I stay and watch?+

Yes, always. You'll know what your kid is working on.

Gi or no-gi?+

Both.

Where do sessions happen?+

Tritton Performance in Montreal, and in Laval, Quebec, Canada at Triangle Nation Gym. Sessions can also happen somewhere else if needed. We'll just talk it through and pick what works best for you.
